Dear Competitors and Coaches,

Congratulations on advancing to the 2020 USA Curling Junior National Championships in Eau Claire, Wisconsin! We are excited to host this event and are working hard to make this an amazing experience for you, your family and friends.

This letter contains several updates, so please read even if you already received planning information.  We also encourage everyone to visit our event site at https://2020jrnationalscurling.com/clubs/curling_junior_nationals

Lodging

Metropolis Resort is our official host hotel  www.metropolisresort.com Having sponsored junior curling in Eau Claire the past few years, we would appreciate your supporting them.  This hotel is not only conveniently located across the street, but offers a waterpark, games arcade and trampoline park.  There will also be a players lounge featuring snacks as well as webstreaming the event.  Our room block expires at December 17. If  rooms are still available, they will still honor the rates after this date if you mention Junior Nationals.

Event Tickets

Weekly passes for are $50 and daily passes are $10.  We anticipate a large turnout so advance online ticket purchase through our event site is strongly encouraged.  Tickets will also be sold at the door.

All athletes and coaches receive free admission to all draws, opening meet and greet pizza party, the closing banquet and a program.  Families and guests are welcome to join the opening party for free will donation.

Closing Banquet

We are planning a fabulous closing banquet at Florian Gardens.  Considered to be the best facility in the area, it is conveniently located next to Metropolis and two blocks from our club.  Tyler George will be our featured speaker, plus a DJ will provide music for your entertainment.  Teams are expected to attend and family/friends are cordially invited to join as well for $35 each.  We need an accurate head count, so advanced ticket purchases through our website are highly encouraged.  Banquet tickets may also be purchased at the event through Monday, January 13 at noon.

Food & Merchandise at the Event

Food will be available for purchase at the club from 7 AM through 8 PM Monday through Friday.  Prices vary according to selection.

Northwest Design Inc (NWD) will be onsite selling event merchandise.  Eau Claire Curling Club and USA Curling merchandise will also be available for purchase.  Goldline representative Debbie McCormick will be present to handle curling supplies.

One final note for competitors.  Due to our small locker rooms, we are working on creative solutions to accommodate everyone.  You may want to consider dressing for the game at your hotel prior to arriving at our club.  There will be locker space for each team to lock up valuables.  SafeSport regulations, including lanyard credentials issued by USA Curling, will be used to control locker room access.
