This class is a form of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), which incorporates short intervals of workouts proceeded by levels: cardio and core emphasis with some strength training, burning up to 800 calories per class and boosting metabolism.

Dance Fitness/Cardio Dance: This exhilarating cardio class to radio hits (pop, club, hip hop) music uses easy-to-follow moves combining fast and slow rhythms (interval training) to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. ... Step: Single or double step cardio workout. Fun choreography keeps you moving and grooving.

Indoor Cycling, is a form of exercise with classes focusing on endurance, strength, intervals, high intensity (race days) and recovery, and involves using a special stationary exercise bicycle with a weighted flywheel in a classroom setting.

BOOM was developed by leading fitness experts to improve strength, flexibility and endurance in convenient 30-minute workouts. These classes will challenge you, but don't worry: One-handed push-ups aren't required.

SilverSneakers Classic focuses on strengthening muscles and increasing range of movement for daily life activities. Participants can use hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball. Often a chair is used for seated exercises or standing support

SilverSneakers Yoga, offers a chair so you can perform a variety of seated and standing poses designed to increase flexibility, balance, and range of movement. You'll also practice breathing and relaxation exercises to reduce stress.

RESERVATIONS FOR WELLNESS CENTER

Limit to 1 reservation slot at the Y per day in order to allow others the opportunity to enjoy a great workout as well.

 

In order to enter the Y, a reservation will be required for all members. Upon arrival, all members will check-in at the front desk in order to confirm a reservation. 

 

Updated Safety Policies and Procedures: 

-Wellness Center is only for members 16+ years old. 

-Machine orientation must be completed for teens ages 13-15.

-Once teens under the age of 16 complete a machine orientation, they will be able to ONLY use cardio and machine equipment in the Wellness Area. Parents will not need to be with them in order for them to use the equipment.

-No one under the age of 13 is allowed in the wellness area unless they have a doctor notice approving them to use the wellness area. They will then need to complete a teen orientation and follow the same guidelines. 

-Machine orientations must be done by appointment only through the Healthy Living Director.

-Number of members in the Wellness Center will be limited to the 50 or less recommendation.

-Social distancing will be expected at all times.

-Members must wipe down equipment both BEFORE and AFTER use.

-Members must follow signage indicating equipment that will not be in use in order to help space out our members.

-Locker rooms will not be available for use.  Please come ready to work out.

-Only our bottle filler on the first floor will  be available. Please bring your own water bottles and towels.

Yoga Basics, series introduces the history of yoga, fundamental principles of alignment, and breath work. Students will be introduced to yoga postures through step-by-step verbal description and demonstration. Emphasis is placed on student understanding, safety, and stability within each pose. Ideal for the beginner Yogis, but designed for all Yoga levels.
